Rachel Barker
Managing Director
An experienced communicator, most recently Rachel has worked within the energy, property, health, retail, professional services, sports and leisure sectors. She's spent almost twenty years handling the strategic planning and tactical implementation of award-winning and industry-recognised communications, community engagement and media relations strategies for a wide range of clients, including international brands, SMEs and charities. She has also handled crisis communications for a range of clients and management of a variety of events.
With a dancing-obsessed nine-year-old, film-loving husband, and two black and white long-haired cats, you’ll often find Rachel travelling across the country at weekends, cheering on her daughter at competitions or her beloved Leeds Rhinos Rugby League team.
She is also a member of the CIPR, Women in Property (Yorkshire and North East) Outreach Committee and Governor for Sphere Federation.

Jake Cunliffe
Consultant
Jake is a stakeholder and community engagement consultant with 15 years' industry experience. He has worked with a range of clients, including National Grid, HD Hyundai Electric, National Gas, Ballymore, Berkeley Homes and Sainsbury’s, helping each to shape engagement campaigns and guide stakeholders and communities through the planning and construction process across the UK.
With a degree in Journalism from the University of Huddersfield, Jake brings curiosity and creativity to communications campaigns. His support for Twisted Logic includes strategic reviews, political research, managing community events and copywriting.
Outside of the office, Jake is a keen squash and tennis player, and a beleaguered Huddersfield Town fan. He loves spending time with his young family and is enjoying getting to grips with fatherhood.
Where does the name "Twisted Logic" come from?
When Rachel was at university, she always tried to find the positive aspect of every situation, putting a ‘spin’ on different circumstances and 'hyping up her friends’ achievements. Called by her friend, the ‘Queen of Twisted Logic’, the name has stuck.
And whilst strategic communications, public relations and engagement is based on logical thinking and actions, we offer this service, but with a twist!
We work in partnership with a range of specialists to provide our clients with all the tools they need to engage effectively with their stakeholders...
